The first grapes in Per\u00fa were planted here and crops like cotton and olives are just as important as the grapes you also must know that the Ica region is Peru\u2019s leading grower of grapes thanks to the desert weather mainly produced by the cold Pacific that doesn&#8217;t allow to see much rains and also the improvement of new techniques of irrigations.<\/p>\n<p>During this excursion, you&#8217;ll explore the processes for making pisco, and wine, and sample delicious varieties of each.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Itinerary<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">08:00 hrs.<\/span> After breakfast, private transfer to visit Hacienda La Caravedo, the distillery for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9aqr9UXOyvo&amp;t=2s\">Pisco Port\u00f3n<\/a> and the oldest in all of Peru dating back to 1856. On this VIP Pisco tour, you will learn the history of Pisco dating back to its origins in Peru, gain first-hand insight into the entire production process, and sample some of the master distillers Johnny Schuler\u2019s personal favorites.<\/p>\n<p>Later on, this morning, proceed to visit the Hacienda Tacama winery, visually one of the most beautiful wineries in Peru dating back to the 16th century. Hacienda Tacama grows 23 distinct varieties of grapes, 18 of which are used for alcohol production and eight for Pisco.
